Among my many missions is to help those who walk the Earth-based Judaism and Jewitch path find the resources they need both off and online.

I have a long list of good websites to add to this page, but here is a simple way to search for information. It is a customized search engine of just sites I’ve selected for looking up Jewitch related information. There’s a mix of both Pagan and Jewish sites here — all hand selected for content quality.

Earth-based Judaism, Eco-Judaism, Renewal, & Jewitch Sites

  • Telshmesh
Rabbi Jill Hammer’s extraordinary site about earth-based Judaism. Loaded with excellent writings and rituals.
  • Ritual Well
A great resource for alternative Jewish rituals. Most are very well conceived and written. I’ve used some and based some rituals of my own on what I’ve found there.
  • Walking Stick Foundation
The website for Gerson Winkler’s foundation. Gershon is the father of modern Shamanic Judaism.
  • Jewitchery.com
The original Jewitchery site — Melissa is the original net-mom of the Jewitch community. The site isn’t updated too often anymore, but be sure to check out the Yahoo group.

Magazines, Articles, and Scholarly Work

  • Witches in the Bible and Talmud
Article by Meir Bar-Ilan Senior Lecturer
Talmud Department and Jewish History Department. Bar-Ilan University
  • Jewish History Magazine Online
One of my favorite resources. This site has articles and excerpts from many sources like “Jewish Magic and Superstition” and top authors and thinkers.

Reference

  • JewishEncyclopedia.com
This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906. The Jewish Encyclopedia, which recently became part of the public domain, contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations.
  • Encyclopedia Mythica – Judaic Mythology
Award winning mythology website — great information on mythology of many cultures.
  • Orthodox Union Website
This website is chock-full of answers to questions about traditional Judaism
