I should make sure it's clear that it's not my picture. The link on the picture will take you to the person who took the picture.

I don't garden much, but my husband does and I greatly encourage it. I don't know if there is any official earth-based position on gardening -- but I think it fits beautifully. Think about the part of Noah where they say that now that he (Noah) has been born the work of tilling the soil will now be easier.

We (my husband and I) have a great vegetable garden, organic of course, and we compost! I think earth-based Jews should try to garden a little and definitely try to support local agriculture. We belong to a CSA and hit the farmer's market regularly. You don't have to live in the country either -- I live in the middle of Washington, DC!

Don't be so sure about pomegranates! My husband bought me a little pomegranate tree a couple of years ago, and I'm in DC!

Nice dawn pic. Do you garden? We are preparing our garden for next year and thinking of the spring. Does earth based Judaism include gardening? What does it say about it? I don't think we can grow pomegrantes though.
