עפר is dirt, or the substance that the earth is made from.
I think the correct English word for עפרה is "lode", but I'm not sure about that.
הארקה is the grounding of electricity.
מאורה, as far as I know, is the den of a wild animal. In hebrew slang it means a place that looks dumpy, like a den.
