Here’s a happy thought for Earth Day. If Americans drove only 3% less this month — we would save enough oil to send gas prices tumbling. 3% people. Talk a walk tomorrow and leave the car at home. If we aren’t demanding as much, it gets better for everyone.
Another happy Earth Day thought. Start using longer term grocery bags. You don’t help the environment by using plastic bags. They are petroleum based. We use paper and then re-use them 5-6 times. When they start to go, we use them for newspaper recycling. Whole Foods sells sassy looking re-useable grocery bags for a whole $1. Your double latte costs more than $1.
