Jewish Ritual Craft: Workshop Handouts
At Limmud Philly 2012, I debuted a new workshop: Jewish Ritual Craft – A framework for ritual designing better rituals. It’s based on a year-long class I’m teaching at my home spiritual community of Becoming, but adapted for an entirely Jewish audience. Below, after jump, are the materials created for the workshop, including a Jewish Ritual Design Worksheet. The handouts explain what each section of the worksheet is about.
Mini Manifesto:
Spirituality: My primary lens is progressive Jewish spirituality, but I also like to find the universal elements that connection us all.
Culture: I am fascinated by both culture on most levels. I mostly focus on American culture and what makes us who we are as a country, but I'm also intrigued by sub-cultures in the USA and the growing global cultural trends.
Technology: Technology is one of the strongest drivers of cultural and even spiritual changes in the last 100 years, and possibly the next 100.
