Update - 4-18-06 - Google Calendar Version - Free! — Just search for Jewitch Calendars in the Public Calendars.
The first ever Jewitch Calendar — only $5.00!
This calendar is provided in two formats. The Import format, which is unstyled data intended to be imported into a calendar program like Outlook, and the Visual format, which is a styled calendar in PDF format. You do NOT need a PayPal account to use PayPal to purchase this calendar, just a credit card. You do not need to create a PayPal account either.
Note: If you are Pagan and not Jewish you can remove the holidays that do not relate to you from the Import Version, and still be able to add your holidays to your calendar program (Outlook, iCal, etc.), as long as it allows CSV or TXT imports.
Visual Format
The Visual Format (sample page - pdf) is a monthly calendar with all of the information listed in the Import format, except the extended descriptions of the holidays.
Import Format
The Import Format is provided in Microsoft Excel and CSV for Mac and Windows, is intended to be imported into a computer calendar program, such as Microsoft Outlook. Many others also provide for importing CSV or other data formats. It is quite easy to import into Outlook — just go to File >> Import/Export — then follow the prompts. Most programs provide instructions for importing CSV files, which are included, and Excel can be exported into a variety of other formats, if needed. Upon purchase you will receive a ZIP file, with the calendar in three formats XLS, CSV (Windows), and CSV (MAC). Processing is through PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account, just a credit card. Coming soon is also a visual format that you can print.
In the calendar you will find explanations of the holidays in the descriptions or notes of each calendar entry, as well as links to more information. The holidays listed are the Jewish and “standard” Neo-Pagan, as well as many secular US and Canadian holidays. The Shabbat & Holiday Torah portions are for the standard annual cycle, and includes the Sephardic & Ashkenazic where they are different. For repeating holidays like Rosh Chodesh, there is different information and links in each description, to give you something new for each month. All holidays, both secular and religious, have the date from the Hebrew calendar listed as well — to remind you of Jewish time.
“Learn More” links go to a variety of traditional and earth-based Jewish sources, as well as non-religious sites like Wikipedia, to provide a well-rounded view of holidays.

Rosh Chodesh Sh’vat
1st of Sh’vatRosh Chodesh is a monthly holiday to honor the new moon and beginning of a new month. According to tradition, Rosh Chodesh was given to Jewish women as a gift for refusing to participate in the creation of the golden calf idol at Mt. Sinai.
According to the JPS Guide to Jewish Tradition, the moon is the symbol of the Jewish people. The sun represents Esau and the moon Jacob. Although the sun is brighter than the moon, the moon can shine both day and night.

I have tested this importing it into Microsoft Outlook, and had a clean import. On a test to import it into Yahoo, I encountered difficulties, but that may have been Yahoo-related.
Note: I used Location instead of Category, because it is easier to search on in Outlook. To change this to Categories, just change the header.
