I made the ice cream for my sister’s seder. It’s chunky ginger ice cream. I’ve made it once before, and it’s super tasty. Yes, for the trad-kosher crew — I know, I know, but we don’t keep trad-kosher. So it’s okay for us to have ice cream after brisket. I listed to SoCalled’s Seder while working on the ice cream. It’s a seriously great album. Great mix of Jew humor and great hip hop.
I just finished making the algerian-style charoset. I have a lovely bowl of sticky date, fig, almond, raisin goo in the fridge and the fabulous charoset/matzah pyramid stacked and wrapped.
Well, I guess it’s back to cleaning for a while.
Oh — I finished the binding on my haggadahs over the weekend. I used this shimmery blue paper for the covers again and embossed copper paper for the accent. I thought the copper stuff looked kind of like a pomegranate.
